We want your jewellery to be enjoyed for many years to come. This policy explains the warranty we provide on our pieces and offers guidance on how to care for them.

Warranty Coverage

All of our jewellery is covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase against manufacturing defects in materials or craftsmanship. If a fault is confirmed, we will repair or replace the item free of charge. If a repair or replacement is not possible, we will offer a refund.

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or unauthorised repairs.
  • Loss of stones or damage resulting from impact.
  • Tarnishing or scratching due to everyday use.

This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your item has a manufacturing fault, please contact us at contact@bijouxbyst.co.uk with your order number, details of the issue, and photographs if possible.

We will assess your claim promptly and advise you of the next steps. If the warranty applies, we will cover the cost of return shipping and ensure the repaired or replacement item is delivered back to you at no additional charge.

Complimentary Ring Resize

Every ring purchase includes one complimentary resize within 12 months of purchase. Customers are responsible for the cost of postage when sending the ring to us, and we will cover the cost of return delivery.

Complementary Cleaning

To help your jewellery stay looking its best, we are pleased to offer complimentary professional cleaning for two years from the date of purchase on all jewellery bought from us. The cleaning service itself is free of charge. Customers are responsible for the cost of postage to and from our workshop. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method to ensure your jewellery arrives safely. To arrange a cleaning, please contact us at contact@bijouxbyst.co.uk with your order details. We will provide instructions on how to return your piece and confirm the expected turnaround time.

Regular cleaning helps maintain the beauty and longevity of your jewellery, and we encourage customers to take advantage of this service as often as needed within the two-year period.

Jewellery Care Guidelines

To keep your jewellery looking its best:

  • Everyday Care: Remove jewellery before exercising, showering, swimming, or sleeping. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Cleaning: Wipe gently with a soft lint-free cloth after each wear. For a deeper clean, use warm water with a small amount of mild soap and a soft brush. Ensure jewellery is fully dry before storing.
  • Storage: Keep pieces in their original pouch or a soft-lined jewellery box, stored separately to prevent scratching.
  • Metals:
    • Gold & Platinum: Highly durable but may scratch; polish occasionally with a suitable cloth.
    • Silver: Store in an anti-tarnish pouch and clean with a silver cloth as needed.
  • Gemstones & Pearls:
    • Diamonds and most gemstones: Clean gently with mild soapy water.
    • Pearls: Wipe with a soft dry cloth only — avoid soaps or chemicals.

Repairs Outside Warranty

We are pleased to offer a professional repair service for items outside of the 12-month warranty period, or for damage not covered by the warranty (such as accidental damage or general wear and tear). Services may include stone replacement, resizing, polishing, and restoration.
